Housemade Hummus
Hummus made properly—quality garbanzo beans blended with Yemeni tahini (nuttier and more complex than standard varieties), fresh-squeezed lemon juice, Lebanese olive oil for silky texture and grassy notes, and plenty of garlic because this hummus is garlicky the way hummus should be, finished with more olive oil and a dusting of sumac for lemony brightness. Once you taste hummus made this way, the store-bought version becomes unthinkable.
